This month, I added "allowances" for Mr. J and I into the budget, just some pocket money for a pop when he's at work or for some earrings for me since Forever 21 opened up in the mall near us (gotta love cheap, cute accessories!).
Then, since yesterday was the official University holiday for the 4th, I had my dear hubby all to myself all day. Well, "all day" after he was at work and realized that nobody else was coming in and that the buses weren't running and could I please pick him up?
After a long walk at the mall in (dashed) hopes of inducing labor, we started looking around the food court for some lunch. I wanted Taco Bell, so I ordered and waited for Mr. J to whip out his debit card (mine was in the car).
Instead, he whips out his "allowance" money and pays cash...when I try to say, "But that's for you to spend on yourself, you don't have to buy my lunch with that," how does he respond?
"I know, but I love you and I want to."
What a sweetheart. Even though I had high hopes for that money, I'm looking for an opportunity to spoil my man right back. :D
Happy Tuesday, and I'm hoping, dear reader, that I won't be around much longer--baby needs to decide to come out!

So sweet! I pray that if I get married, that my husband I will always remember to do things like that.
As you can see, I'm a newbie to your blog, but already I love the stories you tell. My family and I have been working hard to budget as well, so your posts on being frugal are an inspiration. I'll keep you and your husband and baby in my prayers!
